He came up to me earlier, asking me to how to spell a word also written on a piece of paper he was holding.

And the word was:

"smorgasborg."

sabi naman ng isang kaopisina rin last week, in reference to our systems admin because of our systems' inability to function properly as well as other glitches:

"...he's making me wild!"

"For many of us, the holidays begin not with the first step on to the plane, nor with the slamming of the car boot, nor even with the first argument about who's got the children's passports. Rather, it begins a few days previously - with a visit to the bookshop and a luxurious half-hour browsing the shelves. This is the opportunity to invest in that doorstopping novel that came so close to winning the Booker; to pick up a complex, absorbing Victorian classic that you could never get properly involved with in those bursts of 10 minutes before lights out; or for a highbrow to gorge on Jilly Cooper and Brother Cadfael. On holiday, we enjoy an amnesty from our ordinary reading - or non-reading - lives."

So which reader are you...?
